Buzzy Beetles The surprisingly resilient Buzzy Beetle tends to live in dark places like caves and tunnels. It's impervious to all forms of energy attack and to most physical attacks. Inside Information: Though lacking the versatility of a Koopa Troopa, Buzzy Beetles are obscenely tricky to actually kill and challenge the Questers to be resourceful. The very least that they will do is force them to waste a Bob-omb, but in the ideal situation they should be made to consider their environment--any objects laying around, other monsters, etc.--with regards to defeating them. The other option is to use a Smash attack, which is just slow and could cost the Questers in other ways depending on what else is in the battle. HP: Buzzy Beetles are killed in a single hit with an attack that can damage them. Attributes: POW 2 END 3 AGI 2 SMP 1 LCK: 0 Abilities: Melee: 2 Ranged: 2 Jump: 1 Dodge: 1 Guard: 4 Move: 1 Abilities: Tough Shell - Buzzy Beetles are impervious to most attacks. Energy projectiles deflect back at their attackers, using the Buzzy Beetle's Guard + AGI as accuracy. All other forms of attack that don't have the Smash effect deal no damage or that aren't physical projectiles deal no damage. Skills: Shell Tuck Defensive - guard A Buzzy Beetle can tuck into its shell in response to an attack. When it does so it becomes invulnerable, but remains in this state for 8 ticks--even going as far as to skip its turns. It acts exactly like a green shell until that time is expired, then pops back open. Shell Tackle Attack - Melee The Koopa Troopa makes a running charge and tucks into its shell. This behaves as if the Koopa Troopa had thrown its shell, but it has a speed of 8 and uses melee accuracy. When using this move it travels twice its move speed.
